TickTock is the name of the most downloaded app in the world in the last 1 year. TickTock, a small video sharing app, topped the list, overtaking Facebook-Messenger and Like. The BBC reported this information on Tuesday quoting the digital analytics company App Annie.
The rest of the top five apps in the list of most downloaded apps are all owned by tech giant Facebook. However, the Chinese-language video app Duoin has shared the top spot with ByteDance, the owner of TickTock in China.
Facebook, owned by Mark Zuckerberg, has topped the list since the listing began in 2016. TickTalk is now the most downloaded app since 2020, with Facebook and Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp and Instagram being the most downloaded apps.
